(P.S. I have not watched past S2 ep1, so if we learned a lot about Annie and Owen's relationship in the last two episodes, this may well have been jossed already.)

Also, BBC books is publishing Being Human tie-in novels come February. Anyone have a guess as to their availability in the States?

Being Human Series 2 premieres tonight, and eztv is down. :( I'm sure these are unrelated, but it DOES NOT FEEL LIKE IT.

It feels like God is trying to stop me from whacky preternatural roommate hijinks.

Syfy greenlit American version of Being Human Auugh! Real nightmares. Chances of this being good? 50:1. Chances of this turning into fandom's new black? 5:1. I'm not deeply attached to Annie being black in this story (in some ways, in the American context, I think Irish Mitchell being translated to some sort of not-white situation may make more sense [actually, having given two seconds of thought, I think I might go for African-American Mitchell {although not WWI era in that case, either aged up to the Civil War or down to WW II/Korea} and Annie as a child of immigrants]) but if they are all white I will throw a shit fit. I will probably want to punch fandom in the face all the time regardless.

Tim Gunn on ProjRun 6 & 7 This makes me 10000% more likely to tune in to season 7. I was seriously considering giving it up completely, seeing just how horrible season 6 was and how much the pre-promotion on s6 insisted that nothing had changed when, clearly, everything had changed in a terrible, terrible way. One thing I don't remember, though, is Victoria Hong (season 4) being a terrible person.

I should have talked this up earlier, but I forgot.

Tonight is the premiere of Being Human on BBC America.

Being Human is a lovely tv show about a ghost, a vampire, and a werewolf who are housemates. The vampire and the werewolf work as orderlies in a hospital. (The ghost, Annie, is only intermittently visible, and, consequently, does not maintain regular employment. Also, she's dead; who would hire her?)

The tone of the show is actually quite analoguous to that of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a mix of humor and horror, with slightly less overt sexiness. However, it's a much more adult show; these are twenty/thirty-somethings. (Well, Mitchell, the vampire, is closer to one hundred twenty-something, but he's only recently embarked on the plan of becoming an upstanding, contributing, non-blood-drinking member of society, so it's like he's just started into adulthood.)

Did I mention that George is a bit of a Xander-type, who hates being a werewolf? A lot?

Anyway, I really recommend it, and it's on at 9 p.m. tonight. (Check youtube for oodles of behind the scenes clips.)

Aaagh!

Just watched penultimate episode of Being Human.

I HATE ENDINGS LIKE THAT.

Good job on the previews for not resolving the situation, because on American TV, they totally would have.
