Lots of people are playing around with their crosspost settings in order to display comment counts on crossposted entries.

Just wanted to let you know that, if you <cut>/<lj-cut> a crossposted entry, you should close the cut, even if the whole end of the entry is behind the cut. That way, the footer with the image count will display outside of the cut, and people can see it when the entry goes by on their friendslist.

Also, if you want, you can write the entry as %%url%%#comments %%comment_url%% in the footer, and that will have the Dreamwidth entry jump straight to the comments.

However, if you want to send people straight to the reply form, it's %%url%%?mode=reply#postform %%reply_url%%#postform.

Out of curiousity, people reading this on LJ, do you find being directed in this fashion convenient or annoying?
