Deviated Sequitur, Gen, Funny, funny story. JTK and the rest of the crew go on a mission to figure out why JTK is the most beat-up captain in the fleet.
Earth-style Romantic Gestures Gaila/Uhura. Oh my goodness, completely adorable. They are trying so hard to understand each other and succeeding. It really gives you hope for the future of interspecies romance. :)
Passing It Forward Gaila/OFC. Gaila's older now, but she's still got juice. Funny.
Stargate Atlantis
Long Way Round Sam/Teyla. Girls interrupted. Wistful and hopeful at the same time.
The Truth Will Get You Laid Cadman/Keller. Humor. Courtship by the need for medical intervention.
Other fandoms
A Place to Stand. Vorkosigan saga. Part of the A Deeper Season universe. Miles struggles to figure out what he's doing as the Emperor's Consort. Naturally, this involves power tools, a feud with a cat, and historical revisionism. 20+K words.
Traceroute of a Retrieval Specialist Leverage. Alec/Eliot. A little about what Eliot did in Pakistan. A little about what Eliot's doing now in Boston. This is grittier than the series itself, but still very much in character. Just be ready for the tonal shift.
Team Q Harry Potter. Post-Series. Dean and Seamus come up with the best idea for a comic book in the history of everything ever.
I Made This (Two Fanfics)
Friday, 16 January 2009 10:30My 100th fanfic story (and this number is slightly apocryphal, as I went ahead and posted some comment fic to the Archive of Our Own that I never would have posted to my own website) is Rescue and Restore. This story is based on Razia's Shadow, which is a musical about a creation, an expulsion, and a restoration. You can listen to it for free, streaming at Forgive Durden's purevolume page.
I think that, to celebrate, I would like a new fanfiction icon. Or, at least, I would like to make myself a
(P.S. In case you missed it, I wrote some Heroes fic. It's a first-time Ando/Hiro duology about timelooping: Directions in Time.
I've done some commentfic lately, and I thought I'd share.

Fandom PSA: Fic theft going on
Wednesday, 18 October 2006 18:15However, what makes me think this community is wrong like a wrong thing is that the stories are being re-posted (in whole or in part) with neither the author names nor the story titles attached.
Reposting without permission has been a no-no as long as I have been in fandom, and reposting without crediting the original author is generally seen as being the crime right under plagiarism.

Some of the people with interesting things to say on this issue, although I don't agree with everything they say are:( links to discussion )Okay, so here's the part that, to me, and as someone who's been an LJ community maintainer (not necessarily a good one, but I did keep one more or less going for over a year) that people are not getting.
Public discussion, even on a community, means in public, it doesn't mean structured by the people, on any fucking topic of the people, and for the people of the whole goddamn world. Unless king community dictator chooses a constitutional monarchy. Like Britain. Or
This community has driven home for me that we need a word for discussion of individual fanfiction stories which specifically implies that we are not talking to the fucking author. Because when anyone says, "Let's discuss stories!" that gets summarized to critique or literary criticism which gets abbreviated as crit which is then unpacked as constructive criticism. And you! Hey, you, Madame Artiste, over there! Ma'amselle Auteur, you, in the corner! I ain't talking to you. ( what I mean by that is )
