Browser tab meme

gakked from gblvr, original to anatsuno

I'm going to list, and tell you briefly about, ALL THE TABS I HAVE OPEN at this moment in time, without editing (except for work-related or privacy-related reasons, if I had them, but I don't. I just mean, if you do it, obviously, feel free to edit the really crucial stuff - just, it's not in the spirit if the game to edit for guilty pleasure reasons and the like).

A probably* terrible original fic story by a fan writer who went off the rails a long time ago, but whose work I can't stop reading because it involves clan building and competence porn and a cast mixed in age, race, gender, and sexual preference. At least I've managed to quit the space cowboys. *(I say probably because I haven't read more than the introduction yet; it's the latest.)

Metamorcity Podcast Episode 0 I feel fairly sure this came to my attention because of a porn reading at Farpoint, but I no longer remember the exact connection.

My reading page - Always open, but it floats between being the first, being the end, and being trapped in the middle because all of the links from the previous browsing session are open on the left and all of the links from this session are on the right.

(n.b.) I just closed gmail before I saw the meme. I usually have gmail open, but if there are too many tabs, I sacrifice it to my sanity. I actually did a big sweep of a bunch of stuff I wasn't about to read/use immediately into bookmarks before I saw this meme.

No, I don't carry a purse. Yes, my backpack is too far away. <del>My phone</del> <ins>I</ins> need<del>s</del> <del>me</del> <ins>my phone</ins>. Also the Crochet Liberation Front Is. Cool. </doctor order="11">

My favorite posts on Ravelry, because when I need to figure out how to do some bit of crochet, I search for a post on Ravelry which links to a good webpage about it, and then I favorite the post. Don't judge!

How to Single Crochet Two Stitches Together (Decrease) is just such a page I would look for a post about.

I need a crochet icon.

P.S. I did not have the update window open to do the meme because I wrote it in logjam

comments

Exciting Things

My crochet hooks from Hong Kong totally arrived today! I wasn't particularly expecting them before October.

Also! Mostly this set does not duplicate the sizes that Sara gifted me, which is also exciting.

An aluminum N/P hook is a little bit heavy, as predicted, but I think I will be okay.

Now, I want to make a poncho! With a hood!

I actually found a pattern I like okay, which does not have a hood, but someone added a square to theirs on Ravelry, and made an ersatz hood, so I could do that.

That will make three projects that I have:

1) A blanket of squares.
2) Some loc socs.
3) A poncho of warmth for work.

comments

The weekend to do list

How do you post a to-do list and then fail to accomplish any of the things on it? I mean, I didn't even sleep for a very long time, as I wanted to, I only managed about 14 hours (Friday and Saturday together.)

What I did do this weekend

(1) Establish that I am really, really, really am allergic to wool. (Stopped working on wool hat project.)

(2) Washed pillows and sheets and mattress cover. (Have not yet remade bed.)

(3) Attended All's Well That Ends Well. (Didn't like it. Second part of first half slow unto molasses. Director directed happy ending without doing proper stage insertion to make it seem probable.)

(4) Went to Looped Yarn Works. I like the shop better than StitchDC (by a lot) but So Much Wool. Started working on a LocSoc, but I think I'm going to frog what I've got so far; the tension is terrible. I am apparently not yet very good at half-double crochet, and my chain was uneven also.

(5) Finished God is Not One, which is a great introductory text, but is terrible in telling you where to go to get more learnings about any of the eight faiths it discusses. I will try to go through the endnotes before it goes back to the library and pick out the endnotes of books the Prosthero quotes approvingly (and which are actually religious, and not just random literary texts with pity turns of phrase he wanted to quote.)

I have no clean clothes to wear to work tomorrow, so I should probably go do something about that, at a minimum.

comments
